Just received yesterday- perfect length for me and holds my very thick hair well. The comb is plastic, rigid like other say but it has to be to hold thick hair and teeth not break when pushing into the opposite comb. They are not as pretty and unusual as the old ones I used to have before moving, but there are not the cheap ones you see in the stores that don’t hold at all.Years ago I used to buy Goodie brand combs like these and absolutely loved them. They were sturdy, with slight flexibility and held my hair all day. Lasted for years. I hoped these were the same but am disappointed. Broke quickly. Left comb teeth in my hair. Had to be adjusted too often. AND i had to file the edges of the combs to get them to interlock. ?I love these big clips because I have super thick, curly hair. In the 80's I bought them from Wings...they have since went out of business but I still have a couple left. The newer ones are made out of a more brittle plastic unlike the old ones that had bend in them. I've noticed the newer ones break much more easily.I had two hair clips that I had used for 15+ years. New dog chewed on them. These two clips were about an inch shorter and were easier (less tight) to get in and out of hair. I like them and they will loosen with time and use of them. Glad I found them to use in my hair while working in the yard and in a public pool. thanks again.Won’t catch the bottom of your hair so you like you’re wearing a mulletI used it once and it stayed together like it's supposed to but doesn't fit all the way together yet. It's still too tight. I used them when Goody made them and I always had to loosen them up so I could use it correctly.Good but not perfect. They need to use a box to ship not envelope. I received it broken.These are okay, they break easy. if they were made of more flexible plastic like some of them were made back in the 80's then they would be greatVery hard plastic without any give and slips right back out of my hair. The old ones I have from around the 80's or 90's had give, were softer plastic that stayed together when in use. These are absolutely useless!They are the cheaper plastic ones . I was hoping they where made of the thicker plastic they were made with years ago . One has already snapped in halfSO easy to use! Absolutely love it!Quick shipping but one broke.
