I have very thick curly hair. When I get hot or am working around the house I use banana type clips to put my hair up off my neck. The clips I have purchased in the stores are smaller than these and sometimes I would have trouble getting them closed with so much hair. I was excited to receive these at first as they seem to be the perfect size, but they are not sturdy at the hinge. Both clips I Purchased cracked and broke at the hinge within a month of using them. This may work well for people with thinner/finer hair. but if you have thicker and/or curly hair and put too much pressure on the hinge trying to get the clip shut, they will break.The banana clips in this 2 pack are good, but not as sturdy as the ones I purchased in a 6 pack from Amazon for the same price. These have a plastic rivet and the ones that came in the 6 pack have a metal rivet. I’ve used these for years, and the metal ones seem to last longer.Looked for a long time to find this type of hair clip. Used this type years ago. Finally found these on Amazon. The clips are lower quality now as the plastic is thinner and the teeth ends are not as round. The hinge is not as sturdy, but hopefully will hold up with use. Since I wear this style hair clip every day, it is good to have the pack of two. Overall I am pleased with this purchase despite the noticeable decline in quality compared to 20 years ago.I had ordered the 3" version of this, and they were much too small ( grip part only 2")- this is now too big?Need a 4" version.Didn't like the hooks (catch) too much- a little hard to close, and inclined to come undone if you lie down.Item Retrieved With Teeth Missing && Looked Pre Used...But It Was Cheap But STILL!!!!I really wanted these to work, but a week in and the first one already broke. It seems as though the plastic material used is more brittle than others I have used. I'm hoping the second one will last but I already bought a backup from Ulta that I am confident will last. I would return, but by the time I pay for shipping, it would be the cost of a new one again. Plus, as long as one of them can last then it not be a total waste. I just feel like I'm living on the edge waiting for it to break =\These clips are okay, but different from the one old one that I love. The old one is curved outward and lies flat against the curve of my scalp.The curve of the new ones is less and does not fit the curve of my scalp as comfortably.Not great for fine hair. Otherwise they are easy to use and look nice.These clips don't curve to the contours of your head. So they sort of sit there awkwardly, with the bottom and top sticking out. They should be curved.Excellent qualityh
